Key West Part 1: Pirates and The Rum Barrel

Key West Part 1: Pirates and The Rum Barrel

Any of me hearties knows I have a serious love of pirates. Arrr an ain’t that be the truth!

So when travelling through the US (it was this time last year… I swear I just came back!!), there were two places I had to go.
Disneyland for it’s Pirates of the Caribbean ride, and Key West.

They have a Pirate Fest! And two pirate museums, and a pirate restaurant. With pirates walking around. *sigh* I was home.

Quickly about the bracelet: Rope was braided together and pirate charms and pressed pennies from Disneyland’s POTC (with holes drilled through the tops) were linked in. I covered both the charms and the pressed pennies with a dark see through-ish enamel for a dirtier ‘pirate’ effect.

And back to some portraits o’ Key West.

That saucy ol’ wench in the portrait eying up those cocktails with pleasure be me.

Yeah…. I look like a goofball. That’s ok. I was really enjoying my alcohol. I’m naturally a lover of mojitos. Must be the rum in it.
